Good, very good. As you continue to listen to these bands you may find that you aquire a liking and higher tolerance for more and more extreme kinds of bands. It comes with time.

I've discovered that the best entrance for "n00bs" into "real" metal is through the Swedish melodeath scene, at least from my observations. Amon Amarth and In Flames seem to turn many a doubter.
