Im serious like :p
youre just 15 eh. it was all maiden over my place back then (well still all maiden over the place) but youll get openminded and that hopefully (unless youre ripe for the opeth and katatonia board)
Ahh.. but I already tried to be openminded, and I mean REALLY tried. It did go well, but I usually end up listening to metal or that kind of music. I even listen to Outkast when I'm in the mood, but that's the only hip-hop group I like.
And the funny part is that I've actually browsed the Opeth and Katatonia forums a lot, and I just went by here just to see what you guys were up to, and I fell in love. Opeth and Katatonia forums are full of people I don't like, idiots in other words...

YEAH RAFAEL WE ALL LOVE YOU
:tickled: ... and I love you all!

some white hip-hop music is okay. i prefer it to be low on rap with emphasis on music: beats, samples turntables.
dj shadow - endtroducing
dj vadim - ussr reconstruction (with the remix cd to that album aswell)
journeyman - national hijinx

that is some hip-hop to reccomend not that hip-pop niggaz with glam outfits, gold chains and other gay attributes.

Ah its another one of them. People dissing a style of music when only hearing the stuff on MTV and that. And metallers are always the first to complain that 'outsiders' dont know shit about metal...

"Hiphop" isn't music, just like techno. It's some form of "art", sure, but it does not belong in the music department.

..But I don't like metal, so what should I pick?

There's usually some truth in that though...

Personally I've liked techno, trance, hip-hop and so on... so I feel that I've a "right" to say my opinions on those genres without being told that I don't know absoloute nothing about them...

rafael, everytime I see your avatar I think of this guy:

Damn right. Once I saw a documentary about hip-hop artists around Europe and there was this band from Epinay sur Seine or Bobigny, can't remember... ' La Rumeur ' is their name. They seemed to be very clever lads and to have lyrics full of sense. I should check them out I guess.

I will have to check too in Fnac St Lazare next week.

If you say that it is good then, why not? I like to try new things.

Hehe beware, I only said it seemed to be good but I've never heard their full CD ;)
