I personally hate rap, its pretty boring and I also dont like how lyrics/vocals are the primary "instrument" instead of an actual instrument.

However its really annoying hearing all these people say things like rap objectifies women or is racist. I mean metal is just as bad if not worse. It's so stupid hearing someone who will listen to something like death metal where its all about killing and gore and then they turn around and complain that something is sexist or racist.

Where that argument fails, is that metal isn't serious about it.

With rap (at least, gangster rap), they're dead serious about it. It's part of the lifestyle.
