I have bought about 70, I have more then that... It is something that really dissapoints me that I just dont have the money to get more as I listen to practically every genre of metal from time to time and I am missing loads of great albums. I guess I am (un)fortunate that I have other passions which tend to get in the way of having money to spend.

Man, I feel inadequate when I look at other people's extensive collections. Of course, most of them have been into metal longer than I have, but I always feel like I am behind.

About 10 years, but only into Extreme Metal for 5. Those first five years (pre-internet) were pretty slow and limited to Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Testament, Metal Church, etc.

The majority of my collection is from torrents, but without those: 10. With those: I'm guessing 50 or 60.

Easily over 1500, with all the inheritance of CDs and such in there, possibly even upwards towards 2000. Not all metal though. In fact the majority aren't metal.
