i guess i *average* about a sixer a night, considering i have at least a couple almost every night and two or three nights a week i have a lot more :heh:

Last time I drank was the beginning of October, and I drank many beers. I don't drink very often, but when I do, I do it to excess. I'd probably just casually drink a beer or two if I had access to something not shitty, but I don't, so I only drink it when I have the intention of getting trashed.

some months I drink 2 or 3 nights. Some none. Some once. Some 9-10. Then i go on vacation to Finland and get smashed 4 nights in a row, take a night off, and give it another 2 nights.

There is no pattern. :p

How do your drinking habits compare to when you were younger?

Mine haven't changed all that much. I generally don't drink weekdays when I'm working, but tend to drink any time I have a day off. This is fine until I have a prolonged period of holiday, like I've just had. I'm hoping to break that habit before hitting 40 haha.

This sums it up nicely I think: https://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news...ential-dread-discover-over-35s-20160608109398

I'm pretty sure I drank way too much when I lived in Paris, as after works were inevitable and epic tastings of new arrivals with friends at our favourite beer store(S) happened weekly.

These days I try to stick with a baby schedule of 3 cans/bottles a week, preferably IPAs and sometimes a farmhouse/sour on Tuesday and Thursdays and stronger shit on Saturdays.

lol @ hangover specialist

I have a single dram of whisky or mezcal each night. If I'm not working the day after, I'll have a bit more. If I'm partying with the woman or with friends, all bets are off.

Oh, and I have to drink beer while watching sports for some reason.

All in all, not much has changed except that I don't get absolutely blinded anymore. Except for the random whisk(e)y nights with a group of guys I know. The existential dread following them nights are a real thing.

i don't really get stupid drunk or hungover ever anymore

i drink maybe on average 3 beers each friday and saturday night for the most part, sometimes a couple on a weeknight

i feel good about my current alcohol consumption

20s = I will absolutely die young due to my drinking habits.

30s = Things got better after my first 3 day hangover. Ouch.

40s = Kept a consistent "healthy" pattern until 2020 hit OOPS.

I suck at moderation, I've found that once I start I tend to just carry on, so I basically just try and start as late as possible to mitigate that!

I am very conscious of the fact I still drink too much, so that's something at least. I'd say I've improved marginally over the last year or two, so hopefully that continues.

i dont drink beer.

i stick to wine and liquor. usually in a social setting or hanging with the girl

I too probably drink more wine and spirits these days than beer. I started trying to make my own wine during our initial lockdown, with varying degrees of success. Maybe not the best hobby to take up when you're trying to reduce your alcohol intake.

I didn't have an alcoholic drink until I was 22 and I've never been much of a drinker. I had probably one semester right after that in college that I drank a little bit each weekend when we would go out to a club or whenever we went to the beach. I think I've only been drunk twice. After that, I met my now wife and went back to normal programming. I'll get a taste for a beer once every couple months (sometimes a little more frequently) when I'm having a nice steak or something of the sort. I was always kind of basic about it. I drank Bud Light Lime in college and now I usually have Shiner Light Blonde (Texas beer) with a lime. I'd like to try something fancier that is fairly light with a strong infusion of citrus and/or spicy/peppery flavor. Got any recommendations that can be had in my neck of the woods?
