everything i own cost me less than a grand, i just try to swing deals when i can... 599 for my universe, 325 for my 29 fret neck through washburn(which sold on ebay today for 560), 900 for my RR5(which included overnight shipping), my RGT42 i paid full price for(650 after tax, included hard case), RG7421 for 325, RG570FM(flame maple top and bottom) for 150, RG470BK for 200, Ibanez Acoustic Electric with cutaway for 300, 85 Yamaha SE300H for 185, there might be another i'm forgetting i'm not sure... but yeah, my RR5 is my most expensive guitar, although i could turn around and sell my universe for anywhere from 800-1000 maybe more, depending on if the buyer likes 1 pickup lol...Wings of a dream said:what do you mean?

Low price Ibanez models are better than low price Jackson models.
Jackson totally wipes the floor with Ibanez on the higher models though.
jackson doesn't make enough basses to own anyone in basses lol... and i'd love to see how a kelly bass can even compare to this...LadyValerie said:True.
Jackson also owns Ibanez in terms of basses.
Kelly bass alone > any Ibanez bass

http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=SRX705
that was my old band's bass players main bass, and it is truly amazing in terms of quality, tone, and playability... and neck through.
i'm a bigger fan of the ergodyne myself, if i had the money i'd pick one up... but the srx is just killer, especially for the price(under a G)LadyValerie said:I see your point, but Jackson basses are good, and they do own all of the cheap $200 SDGR and Iceman basses, which are, unfortunately, the only Ibanez basses i've played.
Kelly's definitely looks cooler than that SRX705, though
thats fucking hideous... that kelly bass looks nice, but i'd prefer better specs to looks... of course i'd have both if i could... but then again i'm not a bass player, so not like i'm gonna use it live... my main axes live(in the future, when i'm gigging again) will probably be my RR5 and my Universe... or my custom 7 string rhoadsesque V i make at luthiery school...LadyValerie said:My only gripe about Jackson's basses is this AntiGravity bass
How fucking ugly

i like that srx because its got classy styling...
i find my Rhoads to be the most comfortable guitar i've ever owned lol...LadyValerie said:The specs on Kelly's aren't too bad, my friend has a black one which plays great. The only thing he didn't like about it when he got it was the pickups, they were Duncan Designed. He ended up replacing them with Seymour Duncan Basslines (spb-3 quarter pound p-bass and j-bass) pickups. I have a Kelly guitar myself, and I find it quite comfortable to play
I wish I had the time, patience and money to become a luthier.
