Hell-o all!! I'm from Venezuela and 21 years old, what I can say? KAtatonia is awesome, really perfect. Greetings and I hope to be in contact with you ever =D

PD: saludos a toda la people de Latinoamérica que se encuentre en el foro! ;)

Welcome =)

ah Venezuela... I wrote thirteen pages about the socialism in Venezuela (under Chávez) for school last year. How are things there now?
Last I heard is that Chávez wants to be president for life... but what's new ;P

Hello everyone. My name is Joey. Im 24, and from los angeles area. Ive been a member of Ultimate Metal for quite a few years now, but never regularly posted here at the katatonia forum, just lurked around occasionally. Ive been a long time katatonia fan (1999?) and decided i needed a change of pace from my usual posting spot the Opeth forum. That is for several different reasons, but none of which really matter to any of you im sure. Anyway, long story short...ill try to post as often as i can here, and hopefully you like new posters here.

Well, hello everyone. I've been lurking around for a long time but I decided to register today.

My name is Ana. I am eighteen years old. I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I play bass guitar, take photos, read books and so on... :)

I am fan of Katatonia for at least five or six years now. Seen them live once and I hope I'll see them again soon.

Hi, my name is Katie. 26 years old.. from Australia. Been listening to Katatonia since Brave Murder Day came out and still love the music even though it has changed alot. I love Katatonia because the music is perfectly melancholy, with catchiness and it often feels as though someone read my mind and wrote down the words in a much more poetic way than I ever could. My other favourite band is Devil Doll.
I play in a few bands, guitar, bass, vocals, drums.

My name's Angèle (alias DiabolicFruitcake), I'm French, I'm 22 and I've been a Katatonia fan for a few years now. I've been lurking on this forum for quite a long time too, but I did not dare registring 'till today.

Of course I love music. I like other bands of very different sounds, like Anathema, Porcupine Tree, Novembre, Paradise Lost, Tool, In Flames, Placebo, Klimt 1918, El Caco, Muse, and many others.

So here I am... I hope you'll accept me on this forum which looks like a real family!

Hello all, My name is Topi(Weird name, huh? ), I come from Finland and I'm a HUGE fan of mighty Katatonia!
I really enjoy the whole discography of Katatonia(meaning that I own all Katatonia albums). In fact, my last purchase was Peaceville's re-release of "Dance of December Souls"(Before that I only had the shitty Blacklodge release). Great album, great bonuses.
I can't tell the best album from all of the awesome recordings of the Band, but the most remarkable albums IMO are: Brave Murder Day, The Great Cold Distance, Viva Emptiness, Discouraged Ones and Dance of December souls(I also really dig the EP "Jhva Elohim Meth"). The remaining two albums are great too.
What comes to Blakkheim's composing/songwriting skills, I think he's superb. one of the best in Sweden and the whole world, along with the other metal gods from Sweden(incl. Mikael Åkerfeldt, Anders Björler etc.). His soloproject Diabolical Masquerade is awesome too, I have the "Nightwork" and "Death's Design" albums. Not forgetting Jonas' outstanding vocals and of course, lyrics. Drumming also =D.
In general, I think that from our western border-neighbour Sweden comes the most memorable bands of our time.

My other favourite bands are: Strapping Young Lad, The Haunted, At The Gates, Death, Opeth and Stone.

Guess I got too excited..sorry. Hail Katatonia!

Welcome, Vincent! I have the first Old Dead Tree album; it's really good! It's nice to see that you guys have a new album coming out this month - I'll definately check it out.

Also, a belated welcome to Paic!

Hello to all,

I am a Finnish fan, hooked on Katatonia since 2001 Tuska appearance, since then have aqcuired quite a few recordings (lacking saw you drown, any casettes, the compilations do not count), a few signed items, a ltd. ed. promo etc. The only band whose merchandise I found worth collecting for. I especially enjoy my three different TGCD-cd's...

I also play in a couple of bands, paint in watercolors, draw comics and
try to avoid shooting people (civil service, since the army is obligatory in Finland).

Closer to 20 than 25.

Quite sane.

Hi there,
i'm 18 and from Zurich, Switzerland. Addicted to Katatonia since about 1 year and a half, and got all records now, aside from the Original-EPs, unfortunately ;)

I've begin to read in this forum some time ago, and finally registered today, glad to be a part of the forum now!

I work as a commercial apprentice and play guitar since a year, but I suck ^^ I think we got a lot of guitarplayers in here, haven't we?

Hi! My name is Alessandro, I'm italian Katatonia fan...

'Dance of December Souls' is my favourite doom metal album!!!
