the four most popular metal bands ever

man it's hard to find people who listen to metal and are not afraid to move out of their little comfort box (the aforementioned bands)

unfortunately that's a huge percentage of people that you will find claiming to be metalheads

people are just too afraid to experiment and try things that is not in their comfort zone

not that I am bashing any of those bands... huge fan of the big 3 and a moderate fan of pantera

I can't imagine only listening to 4 to 10 bands. It would get boring very quickly. I'm sure some of these people wouldn't like death metal, or even German thrash, because it's too heavy for them in terms of the vocals and stuff.

it's real easy to get caught up in the image and the hype of bands like slayer metallica etc...

but when there's no image there, no MTV nothing there except the music... people don't like it

I guess we're raised in a society where music has to be like a social thing and not about the art(which is completely absurd)

I mean look at our BB.com forum... what percentage of total metal posts there deal with the big 4 bands??

Slayer and Metallica have acouple good albums and have sucked what 20 years. Megadeth is pretty awful imo. I think there comes a point when these bands are gun n roses.

I just listened to new Metal Church album, pretty good imo...No trash is not dead, though I haven't heard any new trash metal bands.
