Jokes

A popular bar had a new robotic bartender installed. A fellow came in for a drink and the robot asked him, "What's your IQ?" The man replied, "150." So the robot proceeded to make conversation about Quantum physics, string theory, atomic chemistry, and so on. The man listened intently and thought, "This is really cool." The man decided to test the robot. He walked out the bar, turned around, and came back in for another drink. Again, the robot asked him, "What's your IQ?" The man responded, "100." So the robot started talking about football, baseball, and so on. The man thought to himself, "Wow, this is amazing." The man went out and came back in a third time. As before, the robot asked him, "What's your IQ?" The man replied, "50." The robot then said, "So, you gonna vote for Bush again?"

Oho. Political.
How very droll.

Tasteless one for the British. Was funnier when it happened but reading the Virginia Tech one reminded me:
Whats the difference between Smarties and londoners?

Smarties don't melt in the tube.

An Italian, a Jew, and a Polak were all applying for a detective job at the local police station. The employer could only hire one, so he had each one in his office one at a time to ask them one question to evaluate them.

He asks the Italian, "who killed Christ?" To which the Italian answers, "The Jews killed Christ."

Then he has the Jew come in, and asks the same question. To which the Jew responds, "The Romans killed Christ."

Then he has the Polak in and asks the same question. The Polak says, "I'll need to some time to think about it. Can I come in tomorrow with my answer?"

The employer agrees, and the Polak goes home to his wife, who asks him if he got the job.

The Polak replies to his wife, "I got the job, and I'm already on a case!"

I don't want to start a discussion here, but in my opinion no joke can be offensive because by the very fact it's a joke it shouldn't be taken seriously. Obviously not everyone shares this view and people do get offended, so attitudes should be tailored accordingly, unless of course you just want to be an obnoxious jerk.

A joke in which you compare the massacre of 33 students to the temperature in Russia is definitely offensive.

Two muffins are sitting in an oven. One muffin turns to the other and says,
"It's getting hot in here."
The other muffin turns and says,
"Oh my God, a talking muffin!"

So, can we make racist jokes?
By that, I mean racist in a stereotypical manner.
