That's funny, Bryant...I'm a lefty drummer, too. I always hated it when right-handed people wanted to rearrange my set so they could play. :D

:Smokin:

Hey man I'm coming over to your place and jamming on your set !!! I've never met but one lefty drummer. Your set double bass, or at least a good cheater pedal ?

Nah, it's a single bass, single pedal...I'm completely old school in that regard. I grew up idolizing Nicko McBrain. He's never used a double bass or double pedal. He's got the fastest right foot in the biz, and I only wish I had a quarter of his speed! :headbang:

Actually, I thought he did, too...BUT I found out on some website (I wish I could remember--maybe maidenfans.com) that it was still all one-footed. Evidently, there were some purists accusing Nicko of selling out to the double-bass masses :tickled: . My image of him remains unshattered in any case. :worship:

I have fairly severe ADD and my mind tangents quite a bit. I am also a fsirly heavy beer drinker. Though I am not and everyday drinker, I am a binger. I might drink three or four nights a week for a couple of weeks and not drink for a couple of weeks. When I introduce a depressent (namely alchohol) into my system, it amplifies the ADD and my mind goes into almost a "stream of conscioussness" mode. I don't mean that I have to be totally blitzed either, as maybe three or four puts my mind into eternal motion. I read a post or reply and it makes me think of something else and I post it. I could work on that, but at the same time, there is no other person on this great world I love more than your's truly, so I have learned to live with and later even learned to appreciate my own quirks and take advantage of them to a certain degree.
Of course I also suffer from CRS (can't remember ) so I make duplicate posts, but I try to be wordy enough so that they don't all appear to be the same. :D So what's everyone else's excuse ? :err: Of course, this place wouldn't be the same without each and everyone of us here that post and reply. This forum is more friendly and personal than most due to the participants.

Yeah, you were pretty smashed when I met you at the progpower aftershow party.

Ha ha ha really ? I don't remember meeting you at all, but I did get smashed on Sat night. That's not my "normal" self, but more of the fact that PPIV was the only vacation I had last year and I was "releasing." I had vacation time saved up and I broke my freaking ankle. My company forced me to use all of my vacation time while I was out of work as I had to have surgery on it and was out for four weeks. I even got in trouble for going to PP because my doctor released me on the Thursday before PP and my company expected me to come on to work. They could forget it.... I went to PP. I got in trouble when I came into work the next Monday though. :err:

I am that way with Kaufmann and Accept (obviously.) If not for Accept, and to a lesser extent Dio, I probably wouldn't have progressed into thrash, prog and modern power-metal.

Coolness, I first heard them when I was around four, it was the Siren's album. :)

I was listening to the first deathmetal singer in the world at age 4. Oldschool death metal like "C is for Cookie" by the famous Cookie Monster.

(Sung to the tune of Sirens)

Cook-ies...wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa!...Cook-ies...wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa!...hungry for chips to-night!

Cook-ies...wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa!...Cook-ies...wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa!...hungry for chips to-night!

AAAAAAAHHHHHRRRRGGGGHHHH! (best Mountain King impression!)

Ah, fuck it...long live Jon!

Rock on!

AC/DC "Back in Black" is what really turned me into a metal-head. I don't care if it is labeled "hard rock." There are metal guitarists to this day cursing because they can't get the tone Angus had on that release almost 25 years ago. I'm not a big fan of them as I only really like a few releases by them, but man that one release... BiB is tough to beat. It's hard to find a release as solid from cover to cover. I consider that a metal album if just by pure intensity alone. I still enjoy it.
