Haha...funny post.

Symbyosis
Skyfire
Kalmah
Sacramentum
Ceremonial Oath
Arsis
Mors Principium Est
Insomnium
Omnium Gatherum
Ensiferum

Catamenia as well, though there more melo-blackish, but they should still be enjoyable if like the melodic instrument work.

It depends that we consider melodic death :D

For me good bands of Melodic Death are Children of Bodom, Black Dahlia Murder, Sentenced (Amok), Dark Tranquility..., Mithotyn :worship:

My three favourite DM albums of the moment all use melody to great effect:
The Chasm - Deathcult For Eternity: The Triumph
Eucharist - A Velvet Creation
Amorphis - The Karelian Isthmus

Edge of Sanity - Purgatory Afterglow
Just bought it today, and I'm liking it!

The Crown - Deathrace King

Amon Amarth - The Crusher
Extremely heavy, yet quite melodic. Excellence!
