Metal Bands as Storytellers

Why the unholy fucking hell has noone mentioned Bergtatt and Nattens Madrigal yet? Well, I'll do it:
Bergtatt has a great fucken story and Nattens Madrigal is up there on the cry-list a notch below One Rode to Asa Bay.

I've seen Zero Hour live -- at ProgPower III. My head was spinning, those are some of the oddest time signatures I've heard.

I felt like I was listening to an epileptic fit.

I consider every Ulver release a concept album of sorts, but Nattens Madrigal and Bergtatt are probably the only two true concept pieces.

PS: ULVER ROOLS OMGLOLZ

Themes From The Marriage... comes to mind immediately, and Kveldssanger and Perdition City are two concepts whose unity is found in the music and succeed in having a consistent theme without relying upon the lyrics...

A damn good thing, 'cause I don't believe I understand them anyhow. Awesome album, though.
