Antimatter and Landberk don't fall very far from Damnation.

None of the aforementioned artists sound ANYTHING like Damnation does. Its in a world all its own. Porcupine Tree is amazing though...Katatonia is okay in small doses..

I know how you all feel. Opeth is the most amazing band on the planet, and it would be nice to find other bands that sound somewhat like they do. Believe me, I have scoured the net sleepless night after sleepless night searching for more amazing bands, they don't exists. You may find another band that is great, but nothing will compare to the greatness of Opeth.

Jar Of Flies is to me one of the best acoustic albums ever.

Definatley Procupine tree. Mike was also influenced by prog bands from the 70's........so yeh bands like Pink floyd, Rush and Deep purple
