NBA Playoffs

It's playoff time! The last of the match-ups were decided tonight.

I remember some of you saying you only care during the playoffs, so I figured I'd start a thread.

The Celtics-Lakers finals matchups in the 80's was basketball at its best! I think those 80's teams were voted 1&2 on the alltime greatest teams list.

I'd much rather see a Lakers - Cavs finals to be honest. Bryant and James are really fun to watch.

Yeah, it would be the ultimate scorer / player matchup and fun to watch. Though I think the Celtics v Lakers would be the overall better teams matchup...we shall see.

I'll be rooting for the Celtics. It appears the Bruins won't make it past the first round, although they did beat the Canadiens tonight, and I can't catch many Red Sox games here

I've gone through the brackets (posting a blog about it tonight, probably) and I have Los Angeles playing Detroit in the finals.

As sad as it is, I just can't convince myself that the Mavs will beat LA if they get there.

If Avery Johnson was an intelligent man, he's double Paul in the back court like he did in the game at the end of the season.

The Spurs again look like the team to beat in a playoff setting. Especially given the nature of playoff officiating, which lets Bruce Bowen shut down opposing wings to a degree that he can no longer actually accomplish in the regular season, when the refs actually have whistles.
