In the same vein (mathcore Dillinger-esque) there is Radiation 4, which makes incredible music ( http://www.radiation4.com/sounds/Radiation4-ticktocktick.mp3 ), and The James Dean Trio, which is good.

Fear Factory is very original; I've not been able to find ANY band that sounds even similar to them.
I have to say Ministry, also, even though their vocals sound like Metallica.
Also, Devildriver, Coal Chamber (even though they have the same vocalist), and especially Dragonforce. Their stuff blows me away with the speed and intensity, yet a good melodic tone still remains in each of their songs.

for its time, Fleurety's "Min Tid Skal Komme" was entirely original and to this day has yet to be matched by the barrage of "avant garde" black metal bands.
