Next Testament CD

Murphy isn't just Death Metal though, his solo albums aren't really Death, and as far as soloing there isn't much difference between Death and Thrash. Pat O'Brien is not really in this equation of what Skolnick said. That is not to take anything away from Pat at all. His skills aren't in question. But Murphy's skills shouldn't be put in a minor aspect by Alex because he doesn't study jazz. Listen to live at the Filmore. James does Alex's solos better than Alex does, at least since he's come back to the band. And he has an exotic feel Alex doesn't. Frankly it sounds like Alex is dismissing both Death and Thrash.

Haha, Oh I do have them. I think he's gotten past that attitude that he had after initially leaving Testament. And the solo for Neptune's Spear is more like old ...young Skolnick. I think he just needs to dig a little deeper.

It would be funny to have them go over there and play something that wasn't Testament....or would that be mean? Either way I think I'd laugh.
