Rice ran routes that took MAJOR skill, sure he had a great work ethic, but regardless, the guy could catch anything--one handed catches, the beautiful runs, the precise routes, the 13 Pro Bowls...

You are acting like I said Rice sucked. I just said Moss was a better athlete/reciever when the ball was coming his way. Moss may not be the best route runner, but that is because he is lazy, not because he couldn't. Besides, apparently he doesn't need to be, he can just out run/jump everyone.

Saying Moss was superior to Rice in pure skill is just silly. Maybe Moss has a bit more pure athletic skill (maybe?)...hell there are probably hundreds of receivers that have a higher pure athletic skill level than Rice. I think the skill margin is a lot closer than you think however. Rices own pure skill matched with his work ethic / consistency (wich is a skill in a sense) puts him ahead of anyone. You have to look at the whole package not just who is the better athlete / skilled player. I get your points on both receivers...but saying superior is a bit much imo.

Well we got a little dinged up. The 3rd string TE Phillips was shredding the Bengals until he got some sort of knee injury. I am pretty happy with our backup linebackers/defensive line though. Wade Phillips is a defensive genius.
