NFL 2010

I don't see why not. There's no fing way Irsay and Polian of all people are going to let Manning just walk because he asks for too much money. Manning is the franchise. I'd rather see him cut the entire time and sign nothing but backups than let Manning walk, which is exactly how they see it as well.

Monday night showed that Manning can make 4th stringers look good. He is one of the best quarterbacks I have ever seen.

How is Polian a douchebag? Aside from being arguably the best GM/President in NFL history.

Sure he's a great GM/President but some of his whining about players like Ty Law made me dislike him. And some rules changes as well.

2004: after the Pats' AFCC game beat down of the Colts, Polian lobbies successfully for an"increased emphasis" on defensive contact. This new interpretation of the rules is widely referred to as "The Patriot Act".

2005: Polian lobbies league (thankfully unsuccessfully this time) to change the formula by which compensatory draft picks are awarded, stating publicly that the compensatory picks awarded the Pats were excessive.

2006: Discussions take place regarding proposed changes in rules regarding reporting injuries, spurred on by alleged abuses by Bill Belichick.

I like how you copy/pasted that from a forum full of delusional Patriots fans. Here's the link incase you forgot where you found that info:

First of all, the numbnut who made those statements is completely wrong in just about every stupid thing he said. The AFCCG in question was the 2003 AFCCG, not the 2004 AFCCG. And if you had bothered to watch that game, you'd agree that the Patriots basically got away with murder. They were completely molesting Colts receivers all game long, and Polian was pissed that the refs basically refused to throw their flag on legit penalties the entire game, which whether you want to believe it or not, did affect the outcome of the game. There was no rule change here initiated by Polian, merely a request that the rules in the book be enforced and regulated properly. What's wrong with that? Besides, not three years later Belichick and the Patriots organization were outed as massive cheaters anyway, so I fail to see how Polian looks bad for something like this when he was doing the right thing.

I've never even heard of this compensatory pick controversy, so I can't really comment on that. However, considering I've never heard of it, there's a good chance it's complete bullshit.

And lastly, there's no evidence that Polian is responsible for initiating the investigation of alleged improper use of the injury reports by Belichick, although this was later confirmed to be true by numerous sources. Yet again proving Belichick is a little weasel. Even if it was Polian out called him out, who cares? Stop fucking cheating and you won't get called out. It's not that hard of a concept to understand.

So all in all, you're basically saying you hate Polian for trying to keep the game fair for everyone. Coming from a Patriots fan, this does not surprise me.

Yeah, that where I found the info from Drunkard. What your opinion on the forum and it's fans? Yeah there lot of stupid people. There people over there who think Brady is better than Manning and I feel like I'm the only Pats fan that thinks Manning better than Brady.

That was a routine roughing the passer. All roughing the passer penalties are going to be fined from now on, as are all late hits out of bounds.

Yeah, I didn't think the hit was a big deal. Sure, it was a dickless attempt to get a nice little jab in on a QB, but seriously, how fucking stupid do you have to be to continue doing stuff like this knowing you're under the microscope? eish....

Pretty soon he'll be suspended and then the Steelers will be in a world of shit.

15 players were fined two weeks ago, not sure how many were fined last week. Somebody was fined $50,000 this week though, I recall reading that. Harrison just met with Goodell to discuss this hits situation yesterday (or maybe it was Tuesday?). I'd like to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation.

The NFL needs to get its head out of its ass and soon before they lose core of fans. That play was a normal part of the NFLs aggressive contact etc. Square up helmet to helmet hits have been happening for a hundred years. They need to focus on the helmet leading spearing incidents and not only fine players for this but suspend them i'm all for this only. Otherwise, let the men play football and stop pussifying the NFL.

Of course. How about all the LB's that fill a gap or RB's taking on a blitzing LB. I'd say there is bit of head head going on there as well. As soon as the helmet is lowered and becomes a missile then penalize the player. The Collie play (hope he is ok) is a total overreaction...it was a high speed normal physical play.
