It's not a retarded move, it's a smart move. Because what all the politically correct media and organizations still fail to realize is that the more they make a big deal out of nonsense like this the more they give free publicity to whatever it is they are trying to fight.

Any publicity is good publicity.

And who fucking cares really. Oh no, some tits and a dead goat (which was already dead to begin with, they didn't slaughter it on site or anything). Is it particularly tasteful? Not really. Is it the end of the fucking world? I think they are worse things happening right now to be honest, but maybe that's just me.

I don't really care at all, it's just going to be very negative attention for the console and the industry, which is already in hot water considering the intense level of violence so prevalent in many games nowadays.

While I don't think there's much grounds for arguing that we shouldn't eat meat (after all, non-human predators kill lots of cute, furry creatures in much nastier ways than we do), I definitely don't condone factory farming. It's one of those things that I wouldn't really oppose if there were some law made against it, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to do anything about it.

It's kind of like the idea of donating to famine relief. We don't really have any excuse not to do it, since we can stop shitloads of suffering and death with very little money and effort per person, but most people are just uncomfortable tossing money at a cause.

And the people who are willing to do it make you even more uncomfortable, and you feel threatened by them... I know. I'm not here to make everyone think I'm better than them. I'm just doing what I need to do in order to feel like a good person and in order to sleep at night. And of course to set a good example for others.

It's kind of like recycling-----It's really not that hard to do, but very few of us do it just because it's slightly out of our way. And make it into a hassle that it really isn't. It's doing something good with yourself, and keeping the earth going around in a cycle. That's how the earth works, cyclically----And recycling helps that. I hate it when people say they "could never recycle" or "never be vegan". They very damn well could, they just don't want to.

You see it as negative attention. Sony's marketing director is probably laughing when he sees the Playstation and the game God of War II being mentioned in ever media outlet and on every internet forum for a few days.

All of the controversy surrounding GTA never did anything but boost its sales even further. It was never banned or even so much as censored. And in most countries (Germany probably being one of the few exceptions) it never will. Politicians will never like videogames because they are mostly old men who neither understand nor play them and simply see them as a convenient scapegoat to blame all of society's ills on. And the same goes for the media (especially the conservative/Christian crossection of it.)

In the end nothing ever comes of this supposed negative attention. Sales don't suffer (on the contrary) and videogames or consoles are never going to be banned because people like to play them and banning something that the population likes (and which is still not in any way proven to be harmful) is generally not the best move to make as a politician. So instead they just speak outrage over these incidents because that's what all the soccer moms in the country expect of them until it dies down again and everyone forgets about it. There are very few people actively trying to put an end to (violent) videogames and the few that are (like Jack Thompson) aren't being taken very seriously because their arguments and reasoning are for the most part completely unfounded. So I wouldn't worry about the gaming industry being in 'hot water' too much.

And fuck it is late now and I should sleep.

Why would you be 140 lbs?? When I went vegan I actually gained weight, because I started eating more because I was happier with food. Veganism does not equate weightloss, it only means you'll be eatier healthier (hopefully). Bye.

I'd honestly turn to vegetarianism, but I love meat too much. I think though that if I did ever live off of nothing but vegitables and nature stuff I'd have to find a way to be self-sufficient food wise, as I don't trust the whole "OMG THIS IS ORGANIC" thing when in reality it still gets pesticides on it due to wind carrying the shit. I wasn't talking about Susperia or somebody in specific. But in general. I personally don't eat meat during last few years. I don't I'm a vegan, I just have my personal thoughts at this point. But does anybody really give a shit? I don't think so.
I also don't care what other people eat. If you want to eat meat - eat it, damn it. Eat what the fuck you want, until it's legal.
If you want to discuss balance in nature - discuss it. But don't give me facts and arguments about why meat is so good or so bad to eat - it won't change a thing. I also don't think you should be so worried about other people's choices (again - until it's legal).
