I found out today that a colleague from work died.

Matthew was only 26 or so. A young metalhead, with a very dark personality, but an amazingly gifted engineer. He collapsed for as yet unknown reasons. I wasn't close to him, but he was the first metalhead I met at Optus, my work.

I am sad in that someone so young with amazing intellectual gifts has left this earth so young. It feels so unfair.

RIP Matthew.
