One Album Wonders

October Tide - Grey Dawn
Down - NOLA
Edge of Sanity - Crimson I
Augury - Concealed (released only 1 full length, been waiting forever for a new album will it ever happen?)

Schizophrenia is better than Arise and Beneath The Remains. Arise has around 4,5 great songs the rest being crap and Chaos A.D especially being a shitty album.

Sorcery -bloodchilling tales
Adramelech -psychostasia
God Macabre -the winterlong
Exodus -bonded by blood, good album by a shitty band. Don't like it enough where I would buy it or anything.

angel witch - s/t
satan - court in the act
blitzkrieg - a time of changes
elixir - son of odin
sledgehammer - blood on their hands
jag panzer - ample destruction
carnage - dark recollections
demilich - nespithe
ras algethi - oneiricon

Dark Angel is questionable

How about Exodus (Bonded by Blood, obviously).
Also maybe Sepultura (Beneath The Remains).
Napalm Death (Scum) maybe?
Orphaned Land (Mabool)
Annihilator (Alice In Hell)

Remove Orphaned Land, all their albums are masterpiece.

Nobody's mentioned Slayer's Reign in Blood yet?

Europe - The Final Countdown
Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry
Motörhead - Ace of Spades
Borknagar - Quintessence (?)
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone (at least their most discussed album by far)
Sleep - Dopesmoker (probably)

Apparently Time Does Not Heal, South of Heaven, Fabulous Disaster, Roots, and Act III are not known for their respective bands.

Green Jelly - Cereal Killer
Morbid Saint - Spectrum of Death
Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle
Nocturnus - The Key
S.O.D. - Speak English or Die

SOD was a good pick. Dark Angel are mostly known for Darkness Descends, I don't think Time Does Not Heal was that solid. Same goes for the Death Angel ablum.

I agree that Time Does Not Heal and Act III are not good albums (I've never managed to listen to either all the way through in one sitting), but how many people haven't heard "9 songs, 67 minutes, 246 riffs" before? And Act III got signed to EMI, something that hardly any other band could manage. Not that it made them sell a bazillion copies or anything, but it's still pretty well known. Even their new stuff seems relatively popular among the modern thrash crowd.

Schizophrenia gets a lot of recognition.
Where?

Schizophrenia is better than Arise. Check it out.
Not the point.
but are only known for ONE of their albums
Congratulations on misinterpreting your own fucking thread.

Dismember - Like an Ever Flowing Stream
Amorphis - The Karelian Isthmus
Good call on dismember. I feel like Amorphis aren't really known for any single album, though; Tales is pretty big as well.

Control Denied - The Fragile Art of Existence
They only had one album and then Chuck died. What's the point of mentioning bands that only have one album?
Come to think of it, what's the point of this thread?

It's not nearly as well known as RiB. That's the album that gets most of the mainstream acclaim.

Angel of Death and the (almost-)title track, yes, but the two after were just as popular in the mainstream. Besides, it's fucking Slayer. Everyone knows them.
