Opeth song for your funeral.

for absent friends has been undoubtedly my choice for the past two-three years, but now i'm having second thoughts...maybe something longer. hopefully, my funeral would bring many new fans to Opeth:)

I am not sure If I would want Opeth playing at my funeral, but if it had to be opeth, I would choose "Harvest".

I think a really heavy track would be kinda inappropriate at a funeral. With the death growls, people would think the devil came to claim your soul.

Benighted.
Weakness.
Face of melinda , but my name is not melinda, so i dunno.
Hours of wealth

But here is the god of many:

Still day beneath the sun.

that's the one.

Since I want my funeral to consist of my mummified corpse being fired from a cannon through a flaming hoop into the ocean, I find it hard to pick an Opeth song that would fit that particular mood. Maybe just the intro to Deliverance? You know, that way it could go:

DUN-DUN-DUN! DUN-DUN-DUN! DUN-DUN-DUN! DUN-DUN-DUN! *boom*

Yeah, but I think The Night And The Silent Water would be very appropriate aside from the fact that your average funeral-goer wouldn't understand the appropriateness (and I'm not just talking about the lyrics, everything about that song just sounds very sad and appropriate to me).

i'll would probably like something mellow like
-Patterns in the ivy
-For absent friends
-Epilogue

or just Credence or Benighted, that would be the best for my funeral with all my relatives and will still be right for the ocasion,

my brother would defenetly just put the outro of Deliverance, and it would be fucking cool!

for sure Black Rose Immortal, cuz id like to think of how many people would get really uncomfortable after 20 minutes of metal music, seeing as most of the people who would be at my funeral would be adults or my friends who dont really like metal. haha they wouldnt leave cuz that would be rude as hell, but theyd be really uncomfortable, and id be laughing in my grave...suckers
