Post WEIRD and UNKNOWN bands you like

I like that Kylie Minogue song... "Can't get you out of my head"... am I supposed to be ashamed of that? ;)

As for the obscure metal bands... I can only think of one, Kall Vinternatt! They're obviously not very serious about their music but still have some catchy tunes... if you find something, get it :)

3 kinda unknown bands i would recommend would be:
lilitu - memorial (they call themselves darkwave metal or some sh*t like that, but they're real good, as yet unsigned)
green carnation - light of day, day of darkness (amazing song - 60 minutes long)
without grief - suicidal stroke
 
well i thought they were unknown as hell...at least to me int he US...but Ensiferum rocks.

i also like Hollenthon (black metal from Austria ex-Pungeant Stench members)

and In Ruins (just a doomy metal sound. cool as hell. Four Seasons of Grey is the cd name)

i also like a song called Forbidden Land of the Troglydyte by Suicide Contest of the Hammer of the Tards cd.

oh yeah and a few wierd ones i like...
1. Scarface soundtrack (80's disco aka Welcome to the Limit, Rush Rush, SHes on Fire....the stuff on Flashback FM from GTA3)
2. jackson 5 - dont stop til u get enough
3. Troll (some band ...finnish or japanese..i dunno lol...foreign to me, but they are lieka little electro-pop band)

i was searching for Nagash's band Troll, and got the songs Jimmy Dean and a few others liek Ngyatta something or other. funny little foreign pop. made me laugh.

hehe im guilty too. heard it 2x a day at work....kidna grew on me lol.
 
The real song is NOT called "hatten är din" it's actually
song from arabia or somewhere, and some humorous
swedish guy has listened it and tried to think what
would it say if it was in swedish.
I'm not swedish, but i understand something..
hatten är din = The hat is yours
then there's some bits like "glue the bit of ham"
and "cool guy with lemonade in hand" and something like
that.
 
Blackie and The Rodeo Kings-- sort of folk/rock sometimes rockabillish..

Megaherz- they hate being compared to Rammstein, but they're sort of like that.. but more technoey...

Great Big Sea- maritime folk group.. well they're kinda pop now..buggers!

Ferron- another folkie, but she has to be one of the most incredible writers ever.

Aurora Borealis are pretty good

Cruachan-celtic metal
Corona Borealis- More celtic

Nightmare Reaper- awesome metal band from Virginia..

Hemlock- This was a local band from here, they were sort of in the vein of Blind Guardian but not quite as operatic. Very poetic, deep lyrics.. they only put out one CD.. but my it was a good one.
