so i rekon the card isnt going to be 3500, but getting the card, an interface, the software will be under this amount, so not all bad i'd have thought!?

Just got an email from a friend that was quite dissapointing....

This is me paraphrasing a personal message to me so I have changed a few things around to mask his identity....

"hey man, yeah I'm beta'ing PT9 right now. I don't think it's actually going to be Native at all, not sure who told you that. I think Avid is just saving money by not having to ship hardware to any of the main testers (who are responsible for testing the hardware as well normally) so they made it not require digi hardware. This saves them money."
