ProTools HD running on a laptop via LightPeak (Native HD?)

Well i was refering to that thread you linked to. They will for sure update the Digi 003(4) line in the near future. We just have to wait and see haha

But i would for sure say that it looks like a new Digi 004 if you have seen the new mbox 3 line, same colours etc

If you check the image infos, the other new product images were last modified recently (naturally), but the supposed "004" image was last touched this March.

not to rock the boat, or to start rumors with no creditability, but a "friend" of mine was at a digi preshow today and he sent me a text that said.

"dude tomorrow or thursday Avid's gonna blow your mind".....

I just saw the price list and pics for the HD Native PCIe card. Unfortunally the link is down. I even started a thread over this, but links exist no more.

FWIW something around $3500,00

Yeah, and according to some sources, it'd still require an Avid I/O. So... $6000 for the new HD, that still requires a PCIe card?

I'm really curious to see what they're actually going to announce tomorrow. Takes a lot more than that to impress me after all the speculation.

I really don't get this new HD Native system. It's a card that costs $3500, and from what it looks like, also requires an Avid interface. So it's basically exactly what the current HD systems are, sans the DSP's, with a total price that could get you an HD2 system used? In addition, you can run other DAW software with the new HD Native hardware, but I really wanted to see it the other way around
