Some of the most metal people I've met with awesome musical tastes were completely burnt out on addicted to drugs. I've had my fun with drugs, and now I pretty much limit myself to booze, the occasional weed, and the rare shroom.

Stoners are a big part of why metalheads are poorly received in mainstream society. I would never smoke anything, yet since I have long hair, clearly I am a degenerate in the view of most.

I would not choose to associate with metalheads that smoked, even occasionally. When I get around to forming a band, I'd not want to work with any smokers. Drinking is another story.

Clearly most of us wish to have as little in common as possible with the stupid redneck stoner Pantera fan.

I'd just like to see metalheads and metal music get respect, and that's not going to happen as long as most metalheads are druggie losers.
