This is the only music I've bought in like a whole year. Spotify has kinda taken over... But yeah, these are worth the money :kickass:

I'm buying lots of movies though. Too many. I'm not very responsible with money :p

Good movies! But i.m.o. music is a waaaay better investment than movies/series. You'll be watching your blue-rays once, twice maybe three times if they're really good and then they'll just take up space.. You'll be playing your cd's dozens of times and keep coming back to them.

I know what you mean, but it's actually the opposite for me. I don't even have a CD player. I just put them on my PC and then iPod from there. The movies that I buy these days are ones that I think are really good and will watch several times - but yeah if they were just movies I didn't watch before then you are right. I used to just buy stuff I thought looked good, wasted a lot of money that way. But now I am only buying stuff that I know I like - as in like 8.5/10 or above :)

Don't bother ever buying a Blu-ray drive for your PC.

Even though it can play all kinds of discs, you need expensive software for movies that will be outdated in ~3 years - and it makes you stuck in a loop of having to continuously buy the newest version of it, and it's always like 100+ USD for it.

Until VLC starts supporting Blu-ray, that is. I just don't see that happening anytime soon though :erk:

You can already play Blu-ray on VLC. Just needs 2 minutes worth of tinkering.

I haven't had a TV for 4 years now (or a dedicated BD/DVD player by extension). All my media consumption is on the PC.

I swear I tried doing that when I first got the Blu-ray drive like 6 months ago! Are you sure it's not just 1080p files, and actually play the physical movie discs on it? When did they make it possible to do so?

I do mean physical disks, not ripped files. It's not possible out-of-the-box. You need some additional libraries to make it work. I've played a couple of Blu-ray movies on my dad's old laptop, which had a blu-ray drive.

A quick google gets me this link, which looks about right. : http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/
