Recomend me some music! thread

Dream Theater - Score
This album is one of the best live albums I've ever heard. Its comprised of THREE discs from the Dream Theater Score 20th anniversary concert in New York. Disc one is a typical Dream Theater setlist clocking in at about 1:15 or so. Songs include Under a Glass Moon, Innocence Faded, The Spirit Carries On, 5 others. Then Dream Theater is joined by the Octavarium Orchestra on discs 2 and 3. Disc 2 is mostly made up of Six Degrees on Inner Turbulence, Dream Theater's 42 minute masterpiece from 2002 album of the same name. The song starts off with nearly 7 minutes of orchestral music which would fit right in in a classic Disney movie (and thats a good thing by the way). After the 42 minute song, the cd ends with 3 songs from Train of Thought and Octavarium. Vacant is especially amazing. The album closes on disc 3 with Octavarium and Metropolis, which are masterpieces in my opinion. ( and my 2 favorite DT songs :D )
Must have for fans of the band, prog, metal in general, and hell, even anyone who just wants some great music.
Overall - 10/10

Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and Nile are far more overrated than Morbid Angel.

I deeeeeefinitely agree with you about Deicide and Nile man. Deicide's latest album Till Death Do Us Part is one of the most overrated albums ever, going out and buying that was the biggest anti-climax of my entire life. Especially considering how superb their previous album was.

As for Nile, well, they're actually very good. They play original, sincere and skilled death metal. However they are overrated... a lot of people class them as the pinnacle of modern death metal.

As for Cannibal Corpse, well, they deserve unlimited recognition and the respect. As do Morbid Angel, Master, Death, Obituary, Autopsy and Atheist.
