Recomend me some music! thread

It's a grower. It has some good stuff but also some pretty shit songs (Bloodbath an Beyond was a MASSIVE disappointment). Dark Ages and Conquer are better if you ask me, especially Dark Ages

i would also recommend the album Omen by Soulfly.
for those who haven't heard it yet
i think it's a great record

This.

Also, get some Cavalera Conspiracy:

They only have one album so far, and it's great !!!

Plus, it's closer to Sepultura than that shit that's being sold to us these days...

i am already familiar with cavalera conspiracy  they are now working on their second album, if they are not already finished... i don't know, they don't give many updates from the studio, you have to do it with interviews with max.

I met Max at Bloodsockin 2008 and he's a really nice guy. Great live, shame Max doesn't actually play his guitar though.

the guy has only four strings on his guitar
and when i saw soulfly, i enjoyed marc rizzo much more , that dude is amazing, his energy and skills, wow

つしまみれ's new album, Sex on the Beach

"Japanese all girl trio - blending elements of punk, avant garde, free jazz, ska, surf and funk."

It can't hurt... at least not too much. If you don't like the japanese language for whatever reason, steer away, but IMO this is real quality rock. Their early work was kind of generic but this new album is really great. This isn't their best song from the album but it's still pretty good.

If you want something a bit more heavy...

Midori aka ミドリ

That's all for now.

ICED EARTH

Such a great band. Kinda sounds like Metallica, mixed with Iron Maiden and a tinge of Power Metal. I just got "Framing Armageddon : Something Wicked Pt.1" yesterday, and while its not as good as the GODLY "The Dark Saga", its still worth checking out. The only negative thing I can say about this band is that they have problems keeping the same singer for more than a few years...... Matt Barlow is the best in my opinion. :D

Gene Adam - 1985-1991 (Appears on Iced Earth)
John Greely - 1991-1993 (Appears on Night of the Stormrider)
Matt Barlow - 1993-2003, 2007-Present (Appears on Burnt Offerings, The Dark Saga, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Horror Show, The Crucible of Man)
Tim "Ripper" Owens - 2003-2007 (Appears on The Glorious Burden, Framing Armageddon : Something Wicked Pt.1)

I only own Iced Earth, Night of the Stormrider, The Dark Saga, and Framing Armageddon, so I'll only post songs from those albums.

=O just started listening the first one, and it's beautifull!
now i don't really have the time to listen to it ( diner) but sure i will come back to those vids again

Almost all the albums Iced Earth put out are worth listening to. In my opinion they were at their pinnacle with Matt Barlow on vocals (with the exception of their newest record) so Im a bit partial to the records he is on as opposed to the other vocalists.

Barlow FTW

I forgot how awesome Horror Show is, I definitely need to buy that album Friday.
