Decibels is easy enough to get, as is Violent Restitution fo some reason. Evil Invaders I found at Bloodstok for a tenner

I don't think Violent Restitution is really the best starting point, since Razor's career may as well be split donw the middle. If you go for VR first then you'll findit a bit harder to appreciate the earlier works, which if you ask me, are superior no matter how good Enforcer and Out of the Game etc. may be

^This. And if you can't hack those, try listening to Ihsahn's three albums first (they're not black metal really just extreme with a black tinge. Well the first two, The Adversary and angL, anyway, After is just epic.) and then go in reverse order through the Emperor albums. Worked for me.

Emperor, their first two albums. Emperor are (by far) the unholy fathers of quality black metal, you must listen to them if you want to know about black metal.
Also, Mayhem's "Des Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" (I think it's written that way), one of the first norwegian black metal albums, too bad Dead didn't record it. Get some insight on this band, there's some crazy shit.
Hmmmmm... some Dark Funeral should do, get their latest album, it's kickass !!! Also, some of their early stuff should be in there.
Marduk !!! Get ROM 5:12, Fuck Me Jesus, and Panzer Division Marduk.
And no, the trvest trve norwegian black metal band ever isn't forgotten...
IMMORTAL !!!
These guys crack me up, just get "At The Heart of Winter".
That should do for an introduction !!!

This album actually makes me laugh. I first heard the song Des Mysteriis Dom Sathanas and actuially thought it was a joke. If I feel like I need to laugh at something I turn that song on. Fucking funny stuff. The album is so bad it makes me cry with laughter.
I mean it's all actually really funny. But the moment to start looking out for is 1:20 onwards when the clean vocals come in hahahahaha!!! Infact for years now me n a friend of mine immitate that sound when we speak now and again for some cheap laughs. That's all black metal is... a fucking cheap laugh.

I don't know much about Black Metal, but out of the small bit I've heard..... Dissection was pretty damn awesome. The album cover has snow on the front, I forget the name.
It's called Storm of the Light's Bane, and it's a fantastic recommendation Keenan.
