Recomend me some music! thread

BENEATH THE REMAINS!

Oh wait, we're on a different page now... Fuck it, I'm gone for 5 days and you guys have gone on and posted a fucking lot.

Skeletal Earth

I bought their album "Eulogy for a Dying Fetus" at Bloodstock for £7 - despite it being over £80 everywhere else. Amazing deathrash produced by Scott Burns, I recommend hunting it the fuck down (or downloading it if you can't afford an £80 CD). Haven't heard this album in fucking ages so it's good to finally own it.

Nile have some amazing stuff fo sho dawg! Sarcophagus is one of my faourite death metal songs like, ever

Their music is beauty man, the first time I listened to them, I suddenly felt like some other bands I listened to just weren't that important anymore, these guys are fucking Gods !!!

Is there a better way to use your 100th post than talking about Nile ??? Don't think so.

I don't like Nile..... I don't know what it is, but something about their music just doesn't appeal to me.... The vocals? The complexity? Am I too stupid to "understand" it? I dunno. Insanely talented musicians though.

I've listened to "New American Gospel" a few times since yesterday, and its grown on me a bit., not Lamb of God's best work in my opinion, but still. Confessional is AMAZING. Highly recommended.

I used to think like that you know ??? The vocals and the music (at some time) seemed to be like... suffocating. It was just too much. I began getting into heavier stuff progresively for some time, then, when I wanted something really heavy, Nile was what they told me. I thought "Shit... here we go again...", but I listened to the "Annihilation Of The Wicked" album and just fell in love with the music.

If you can't appreciate Nile's music then you need a slap. Insanely good in every aspect, though the 'epics' on some of their earlieralbums can get boring if you've heard them a fair number of times.

Onslaught - The Force, OR Killing Peace. Do NOT start with In Search of Sanity whatsoever since it's a completely inaccurate representation of the band

As for Razor, it depends. They've had two vocalists with two completely different styles so;

Stace McLaren - Evil Invaders
Bob Reid - Shotgun Justice

The early Razor releases with STace are fucking top notch speed metal, very Motorheady in places, though the last album he did 'Violent Restitution' is more straightforward chugging thrash. When Bob joined they went for pure thrash (except 1997's Decibels which was groove). Frankly, the albums with Stace are far superior but a lot of people love SHotgun Justice and Open Hostility too - I'd say start with Evil Invaders and Shotgun Justice, then work you way backwards (and forwards). Their debut album Excutioner's Song isa completely different sounding band than the same outfit that released Custom Killing two years later.

Couldn't find them on spotify so I'll download them:)

And before anyone starts to flame me with "THOU SHALL NOT DOWNLOAD" I might remind you of my "Album buying plan"

I might also remind you that most Razor CDs are impossible to find. If you're looking for copies of Custom Killing, Shotgun Justice or Open Hostility (or even the 2CD Exhumed compilation) then you can expect to have to sell your car for them. Hell, even I only own three Razor CDs

looool i haven't been here in ages.

ANYWAY, imma rec you Warfare's Mayhem Fuckin' Mayhem, good speed/thrash is good
