I'm with JG except I'd ignore The Dark Ride over Master of the Rings and I wasn't overly impressed by Majestic.

Oh, and Hammerfall are pretty good. Straightforward as hell, but if you like Iron Savior, you'll probably like 'em. (Savior's pretty straightforward too.)

New song up from the new Rhapsody album.
Pretty audible bass, which is new. Sounds more straightforward than usual. Also, keyboard solo, which sounds rather out of place. Overall, I'm not particularly enthralled.

More of the same, but that doesn't change the fact that they're catchy as hell. Their vocalist does sound a bit strange though.

Orden Ogan's second album, Vale, has been growing on me over the past couple weeks. They're an insanely epic band.

Speaking of German Power Metal, so far my vote for #1 power metal album of 2010 (hopefully to be usurped by Manticora later this year) goes to Sinbreed - When World's Collide.

Unfortunately it's Christian metal, but overall the lyrics aren't nearly as hamfisted and as Seventh Avenue's, except for a few bits here and there. It's pretty generic, and there's bugger all variation between the songs on the album, but that suits me fine when the songs are this good. When it comes to power metal albums I'd way prefer 10 speedy, energetic songs that sound the same, rather than the midtempo snoozefests that lot of the major Power Metal bands these days seem to be putting out.
