black metal screams are more of a thin throat thing....mike has always been about the gut...not that i really know exactly how he does it...but thats how it seems.

I don't really think it suits Opeth's style, but who knows, perhaps there will be some of the new album if it turns out to be the "concept" Mikael talks about on the Lamentations DVD.

What i think is hilarious about all this...is Mikael could be reffering to "black metal" sounding on the new album in a bathory/celtic frost or even mercyful fate sort of way. The majority here seem to think its going to sound like emperor or darkthrone or the like.

But i guess thats what most people think of when the term black metal is used. oh well.

And I really doubt Opeth will play primitive black metal, but you never know I guess.
