Satanic Metal Bands

The thing about satanism is its all a sham. "Bloodmagic" satanism, or "inverse Christianity" as it may be more accurately described, is based on the worship of a character (Satan) created by the Catholic Church in the dark ages (600 c.e. - 1000 c.e.). Furthermore, "satanism" itself was created by the Catholic church to incite Christians against pagans and heathens, whose activities fall under the alleged doctrines of satanism. As for LaVey satanism, his belief system is more accurately described as Darwinist humanism, but "satanism" obviously rolls of the tongue easier, and gains more attention.

Are you saying "Satan" was created by the Catholic church during those times or are you saying "Satanism" was created during those times?

I am actually saying both the mythical figure called Satan and the concept of cults that worship him were created around the same time, so both. Conceptually, Satan evolved over time (beginning long before Christianity) through an amalgamation of various evil spirits and mythological figures.

I believe that "Satan" or "Lucifer" dates back before Christ was born as he is a figure in The Garden of Eden which was written about by Moses, long before the time of Christ. While Christianity dates back only 2000 or so years, Judiasm is much older and is coherent with almost all recorded history. Being as that Christianity was a continuence of Judiasm to a point it seems that the actual figure "Satan" is very old.

However, I would agree with you that "Satanism" has evolved over time.

What's the point in being a "passive member" of the CoS. And what's the point in telling everyone about it?

How can you be a "passive" member of the CoS? :err: Are you perhaps making it up? What a joke.

Funny, but ridiculous post. Get at www.churchofsatan.com, read and all of your questions would be answered.

At the end, the music counts, that is some fact noone should forget...

I know King Diamond does, he said so in an interview for the book Lords of Chaos. but I know that no one in Venom is actually satanic.
