Sinergy influences on Blooddrunk?

show me please the band that plays like cob played on HB and SW!
Yngwie Malmsteen, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Racer X, Dream Theatre, Warmen, Ozzy with Randy Rhoads, Symphony X, and about a million other bands have all played around with neoclassical parts, its really not uncommon in any way. Some of the aforementioned bands have even used the exact same or extremely similar parts in their songs (check out overture 1622 by Yngwie on his Magnum Opus album and Red Light in My Eyes part 2, the final solo to Over the Mountain by Ozzy and the bridge to Triple Corpse Hammerblow, and I've definitely heard the neoclassical part to the song Children of Bodom used more than once.) Also a lot of power metal bands use very similar chord progressions, and seeing as a lot of these bands have been going much longer than COB, I'm sure you can now see what I mean by it being pretty unoriginal, no matter how many times people try to insist that their favourite COB songs were the ones which other people wrote.

Alexi is probably never gonna go back to writing neoclassical stuff

Yeah. More than likely he'll stick to the newer sound. I dont see the new album bein like a step back 2 albums for them. I dont see why every one demands the old days. I think HCDR is a kickass album, its very close to being just as good as HB.Granted AYDY is not the best, but it has its moments. If COB managed to take every style from every album, come together as a BAND even more, and put everything into perfect song structures,it would sound insane.

let me tell you a secret:
this thread....

it's about Sinergy material used on the new album.
there are other topics about Blooddrunk, but this is specifically about Sinergy's relation to BD.

So Sinergy is a vital part of the subject of this thread.

I know that, but Sinergy has nothing to do with older COB cd's quality,:lol:I know the thread has gone a bit off topic,so that's why Sinergy didn't appear.I know how th read thread titles,

I asked if we could get back on topic.
'erhm, can we get back on topic? I enjoy reading 'Joonas vs. the rest' threads but there are enough of those around...'

After that, I totally agreed with you that Joonas was seeking a nice big bash. But I also repeated my request to stay on topic.

you then asked what Sinergy has got to do with the topic.
'what has Sinergy to do with COB albums' quality??'

thereby implying this thread is about the quality of CoB's new album. But it is NOT.
So, to make a long story short. You fail :D (no offense ofcourse ;) )

lol

ouch!:lol:I know the main topic, but it's a bit dead nowadays,:lol:anyone has anything more to say about the Sinergy-Blooddrunk relation:lol:the only thing I've got to say about it is that if Blooddrunk is suposed to be a trash-proggresive album then Sinergy-oriented riffs can't have had much place there IMO.what do you think?

^ the whole discussion with Children of COB was indeed pointless. I have to agree, but there's still the other 10% :) so I'm not a complete fail

lol

and on topic: Sinergy really appear to be dead, it's Alexi's right to use material he wrote (for Sinergy) on CoB songs if he wants to, I do think he has to modify them a lot in order for melodies to suit CoB's current sound. I still hope the new Sinergy album will be released someday, but I do not expect it to happen in the next 2, 3 years because of CoB's album, album supporting tour etc.

Sinergy seems to be dead, but in SOB(and I count them to be better informed than us) on the murder archives it says that Sins Of The Past is sheduled for release in 2008.it can be old info and that, but as hope is the last to be lost,I truly hope that Sinergy proves along 2008 that we're wrong.I'm not very enthusiastic as do notice too that it's been almost 6 years since last Sinergy album, but I'll wait as I've been doing for long since Suicide By My Side:lol:

Maybe Alexi and Roope have better things to do right now. Plus the Sinergy material got lost ;) Maybe you'll hear some more of it in 2008 tho..
