So I brought the SSD4 pack. Figure I'll convert the snares and kicks to tci format.
$200 was to much to pay for the same 4 snares and kick twice.

That's with compression/eq/parallel compression/clipping
...i just dont think these cut it on their own. definitely need blending with other snares

Cheers, good to know. Haven't had a chance to check them out, i don't normally use slate snare's on there own. Too many good samples floating around here.

I'm finding the cymbals to really rule, at least the crashes. Doing an EP of material we never released with my old band, probably going to use a blend of Evil Drums and the CLA pack for the bulk of it unless we end up doing real drums.

I'm sorry if some are upset, but I will say a few things:
I have been coming to this forum for many years, and have had SEVERAL exclusive sales JUST FOR YOU GUYS. I didn't hear any complaints about that. I should also mention that when I inquired about offering an end of year blowout sale, the CLA pack was one of the most popular suggestions, and many of those suggestions came from members of THIS FORUM. Furthermore, in an industry this small with a severe amount of competition, we are often forced to make last minute decisions, and one of those decisions was to offer an end of the year sale. CLA was reduced by $49, but now it is at $199 as I said it would be. When I said that the CLA pack was going to go up in price, I was telling the truth and did not predict that it would be one of the sale items for the end of year weekend blowout. I apologize to anyone who feels like they got jipped, it's never our intention.
