Suggest a Studio Bass!

A bit late to the table on this one, but I've finally picked and bought a bass. The Ibanez BTB705DX.

Sound seems fairly standard for Ash so far. It compares quite predictably with the other Ash/EMG basses I've recorded before. Not the clearest low-mid sound, but it has a nice mid grit characteristic to it. Sounds very 'modern' I guess. If you listen to the start of Nickelback's 'S.E.X' that's pretty much a dead ringer for this tone.

Lacuna Coil bass, he uses ESP basses and Ampeg amps (?)
