Lykathea Aflame is likely in next. Will anyone throw a fit if another Opeth album goes on the board? I don't think My Arms, Your Hearse will be too controversial. Blackwater Park has more good songs, but probably won't go over as well.

VC/LA/Immorta

Blackwater Park was nominated a long time ago, but didn't make it. It's safely due for another try. I would disapprove of Still Life. That's a severely flawed album, and I never understood the love for it. Blackwater Park is better in every aspect. If someone wants to argue that MAYH is better, I can completely respect that, even though I think it has three extremely great songs and a fair chunk of filler. MAYH is their most focused album, and since interesting compositions turn a lot of people into crybabies, the fairly bland filler tracks on MAYH are appealing to the people that like 6-8 blah tracks on an album with a couple of great ones.

I diagree 100%. Blackwater Park is just a less imaginative, more produced version of Still Life. Also, some of the songs drag on in the heavy parts, depending too much on the acoustic passages for their value (i.e. Dirge for November, Drapery Falls etc.). In contrast, I don't thing there's a single empty moment on Still Life. BWP is probably the 6th best Opeth album, and certainly nowhere in the quality of Morningrise, SL or MAYH.
