It's more of an anti-moar-Agalloch-or-Opeth-albums-plz bias. That, and a how-can-you-nominate-niche-genre-albums-when-there-are-still-older-and-more-important-and-better-albums bias.

Boris - Feedbacker or Pink
Deathspell Omega - Inquisitors, SMRC, and Kenose
Hate Forest - Battlefields
Inquisition - multiple
Isis - Oceanic or Panopticon
Krallice - s/t
Lurker of Chalice - s/t
Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris
Mastodon - Leviathan
Peste Noire - first album
Velvet Cacoon - Genevieve
Xasthur/Leviathan split

Obviously there's more important albums earlier on the list, but these are way more interesting listens to me. It's also quite hard to judge influence of some of these newer albums. Lurker of Chalice is extremely inventive. TWWTG and SMRC have already been very influential, and were pretty much regarded as instant classics. There's nothing like Boris, Mastodon, or Isis on the list yet.
 
Through Silver in Blood was on the list for a while, although it was removed. Isis before Neurosis seems a tad out of order.
