The "controversial opinions" thread!

Talented or not, think about how much better off said countries or counties or states would be as a whole if the sports players got paid less and the wealth was distributed more evenly among the people?

-having finally picked it up, i can say that Clayman is very, very over-rated

I'm not the biggest fan of it either.
I don't hate it, but it definitely hasn't got anything from the most classic stuff of the melodeath genre

Thing is, to those who love it like I do, it's the perfect middle ground between classic and modern melodeath.

anders howeverthefuckyouspellhissurname frijdhdegreen is annoying as fuck

I'm a CC fan, I love their early albums and some stuff from Wretched Spawn, Bloodthirst etc. Although I believe their search for the uber guitar tone has weakend their bass tone in latest albums, which is a huge mistake when you have one of the best bassists on the face of the earth.

Yeah not controversial, sorry.

Anybody agree about Jack Owen? His solos have always been soooo lame

I never really listened to Cannibal Corpse for the best in lead guitar playing (I've got Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Megadeth's Rust In Peace, Arch Enemy and Opeth for that) or the most insane drumming.
But what I do listen to them for, is the sheer brutality, and for that, the band fucking delivers.
