The food thread.

My ass it does nothing.
It has electrolytes in it that replenish your body with minerals needed that were either lost when you were working out etc.
OR after a long night of drinking.

Pfft.
A good fry up and cup of tea does that.

AND:

It is unnecessary to replace losses of sodium, potassium and other electrolytes during exercise since it is unlikely that a significant depletion of the body's stores of these minerals will occur during normal training. However, in extreme exercising conditions over 5 or 6 hours (an Ironman or ultramarathon, for example)

I'm currently de-shelling & eating fresh roasted salted pistachios for the first time in ages and my god they're great. Possibly my favorite nut. It's taken me about 15 minutes to type this post.

Just cooked this:

My new recipe for Bigos, the Polish national dish.

It contains:

Onions
Garlic
Tomatoes
Mushrooms
Green Cabbage
Sauerkraut
Granny Smith Apples
Prunes
Allspice
Chicken
Bacon
Kielbasa
Red Wine
Sugar
Allspice
Peppercorns

Now all it needs to do is combine the flavors by sitting in the fridge overnight, and tomorrow it will be eaten with dark rye bread and some Smithwick's ale.

Wow, that's a lot of shit.

Personally I could do without the cabbage and sauerkraut. But on the whole, looks pretty awesome.
