The high points of recent prog metal?

 I wonder if your life consists of you sitting at your computer, thinking up "good burns" to sling at my indifference.

Umm no...you slung the shit first with the Britney comment...immediately before that l was the one voicing the indifference. That makes you the obvious troll. Your the one with nose to the screen waiting to pop prepubescent comments...get it straight. :Smug:

You're the one who keeps replying to him though.

Hi ! So this is the place everyone hangs out when their medication runs out ? I feel so at home ........ wait, Ive gotta run, I see the men with the white jacket coming.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Threshold yet. I have their latest two albums, and they are terrific. Subsurface (2004) and Dead Reckoning (2007). You can't tell me you are not moved by the song 'Pilot in the sky of dreams' off the Dead Reckoning album.

Also not mentioned yet is Amaran's Plight. They released their album a couple months ago, 'A Voice in the Light'. This is more Prog-Rock than metal, but does have metal touches to it. This is an album you can listen to a few times........on repeat....over and over, quite brilliant.

Demons and Wizards, the collaboration group between Hansi Kursch, and John Schaffer is great too. Both their albums are constantly getting play time from me. Granted this is more Power Metal, but w/e. Not like this thread isn't already off topic

And like other people, I like Circus Maximus, Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, and most of the others already mentioned.

I love Threshold. I haven't heard all of their stuff, but Hypothetical, Subsurface, and Dead Reckoning are all great albums. My favorite song of theirs is probably Ravages of Time.

I have a white coat/jacket, being a lab technician and all. So what does everyone here need?

I think a 50cc injection of OnTopiculum Postchlorate should help for most.

Black Halo by Kamelot is awesome btw... fucking love the start of the title track.
What I've heard of Underworld (Adagio) is awesome so far, but I'm sure when I get the time for a solid listen, it will get even better. :kickass:
