The New album is called Watershed : Out June 2nd

Damn!! The worst point on Ghost reveries was that the better song was too short "isolation years", and "coil" seems like a very interesting song, I won`t like another good song in 3 minutes.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that opinion is horrible. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD THE DAMN SONG YET! Just wait til you hear it and then judge if it's too short.... Christ, this thread is so depressing when it should be awesome.

As a follow-up, for all we know the 3 minute song flows into the next one. Time will tell us, people. Theyre just words and numbers right now.

:lol:Relax man, obviously I don`t know if this song is cool, but just it seems interesting because the female voice, but is a opinion I just say that one of my favourite songs is "isolation year" and I would not like another short song
So You could Go outside and drink a beer, this is not the end of the world.

These lenghts are better Yeah:kickass:

I ll add that the article was in fact a listening session ant the journalist clearly describes the first track as a surpise for its short length and the female vocals.

And by reading his descriptions of the other tracks, the songs' lengths seem about right but who knows ?

Maybe Mr Akerfeldt could shed a light on the matter ?

Now that's what I'm talking about.

It's just very odd for me to see a non-mellow Opeth album with a majority of the songs being under 9 minutes.

the song lengths posted on metal archives seems to be more like a regular opeth album...but this may not be a regular opeth album.

Mate, think you should stop giving out info. Youre ruining the album.

Ruining the album? For whom? Perhaps this is the wrong thread for you to read if you do not wish to hear about the new album ...

I'd say Victorialand has been very careful about what info he has given on the coming album, and the majority of us following this thread has found great interest in his posts ... I'd be glad if he continues to help building the anticipation :kickass:!

Gotta love when people are fans of a progressive metal band and they just list older albums they want a new album to sound like. I'd rather they just progress further and show me something they haven't done, but maybe i'm just weird.

:rock:Holy shit, a Trower cover? This can't be true.
I always thought it would be a great song for you guys to cover because it's so dark, but never thought it would happen. So how about covering The Moody Blues "When You're A Free Man" now Mike?:notworthy
