THE...NEW....NEVERMORE...

In some slightly different news, it seems that Andy Sneap was the guy that did the voice-over on the promo.

I managed to insult Dane and Andy, both, in one breath when I cursed the guy who ripped it into such shoddy quality, and also the guy who talked over it.

Why are people bad-mouthing Nevermore so much here? I don't see what's so bad about them, I like them a lot actually but whatever... different strokes for different folks.

Nevermore and Children of Bodom are also nothing alike so you can't even compare them and we have people saying that Nevermore want to be CoB, that was pretty stupid.

Anyway, this album will probably be excellent.

yea, maybe just relax man.

Nevermore is fucking fantastic. I'm very excited to see such positive feedback from those who have already heard the new album. This year is already a great one for metal, and this will only make it more of one. Strapping Young Lad... The Devin Townsend Band... Nile... Behemoth... Nevermore... Opeth... Katatonia... the list goes on. \m/

I still can't believe that there are Opeth fans who don't like Katatonia, even hate them. ~_~ It makes no sense.

And, by the way, I'm a fan of Nevermore, Orphaned Land AND Symphony X, so ha! (I haven't heard Evergrey, but I don't think I'd like them, based on nothing more than artwork and songtitles. Pretty shallow basis, I know.)

Why don't you elaborate with some detail as to how Opeth's song structures are so much more superior to Nevermore's. Since you have such a strong opinion...you must have alot of knowledge about musical forms/structures. I'm sure you can make distinctions between the two band's various song structures. Surely one of them must be more amateurish than the other. Certainly one band knows what they're doing and one doesn't.

there's actually some good riffs on this new nevermore. unfortunately, the unbearable singing, horrible solos and pisspoor song structures ruin them. oh well :Spin:

Now that I've heard that album, I'd have to agree. While I don't mind the singing at all(except the part where he attempts death metal :erk:), the songs are so that none of it really gets stuck in your mind, the solos aren't as distinctive as in say TPoE and there are one too many drum rolls.

So yeah, while I am listening to this album a lot past couple of days, it isn't the greatest metal album in the last 4-5 years, let alone this year.

Fav. tracks - World Unborn, Sentinent 6, Psalm of Lydia

the album is fantastic. on all fronts. but you dont have to feel the same. end of story.

I dowloaded it last night, its pretty cool. The piano intro in Sentient 6 reminds me of the Type O version of Black Sabbath. The riff at 1.55 on the final product (as well as the leads after it) its kick ass. I will buy this album.

The album is really good, not Nevermore's best, but really good nonetheless.
