Finished Peaky Blinders newest season. Pretty good, but they need to hit the brakes on these slo-mo scenes...turned 50 min episodes into 60 min.

El Camino was "okay". Basically coasts on Breaking Bad's excellent characterization for 2 hours, stringing together encounters and flashbacks with supporting characters with a paper-thin plot. Solid but doesn't really find a strong raison d'être like Better Call Saul did. Oh well, 2/3 masterpieces isn't bad.

Finished it myself, yeah it didn't really need to exist. All it did was take what was vague and pointlessly make it concrete. Gotta admit though I enjoyed it, probably just because I'm nostalgic for Breaking Bad. Might rewatch it soon, based mostly on watching this.

So you guys are on about the same page as me. Having thought about it more, I wish it would've dared to stand on its own legs more. I was invested in Jesse's story and I wish it hadn't been constantly interrupted by flashbacks.

re-watched BB like a month ago, really downhill after time. angsty white fight club male and really bad criminality made it significantly worse in a re-watch
