The return of the "How are you today?" thread

Well it's early as fuck, I have to go to a 3 hour film class which is ok except for it's at 9am and it takes me an hour to get there by bus... also need to fucking get a root canal today, well the start of one :( They're gonna leave my tooth open for a week then go back an finish it. I'm not looking forward to it at all :ill:

Just got my results through for Semester 1 at Uni. B+ in all of my modules, annoyingly though, one of those B+ must be really close to an A... Ah well, back at Uni now, bring on Semester 2

Uggh that sucks ass! Root canals are the worst. Good luck!

I'm supposed to play water polo later...although it's so shitty outside I'm considering developping sudden selective amnesia...

Haha I went and they didn't do anything. After waiting 1.5 hours and getting countless x-rays the dentist determined the lump in my jaw (which she was freaking the fuck out about) was not cancer or a cyst that needed to be surgically removed. I never thought it was, I assumed it was just irritation caused by the root canal. Anyways she reffered me to a specialist so I have to get the root canal started, then get a wisdom tooth taken out, then the following week get the root canal finished. FML

Damn >.< Well post pictures when your cheeks are all puffy and chipmunk-like so that at least we'll be entertained :p Seriously though best wishes. No one likes dental work!

Feeling a bit better now ive slept. I decided to go to my girlfriends house in Germany by coach as a suprise for her birthday. I got asked a million and one questions regarding the reasons why I was travelling to France at borders, but went through some nice towns such as Brugge, Gent, and Liege in BE, looked rather interesting too. Brussels was a huge let down (looks like Birmingham without the charm), and we totally avoided the Netherlands which was also funny considering how close we were to it (stopped in Aachen) and then onward to Köln. 18 hours solid to Frankfurt, then I had to wait there with nothing to do for 4 hours before making my way south to Weinheim. Feels good to be back in DE.

Still,
Berlin > Heidelberg.
If you want some to see a cool but dirty city with fucked up people, you should really come to Berlin.

Ghent's center is fucked up for over a year now. the shopping streets are mudpools when it rains -__-.
+i agree that brussels is absolutely yukky. in september they let me pay 7 euros for a bowl of (obviously canned, which is simply disgusting) soup.
+how's liège? i've never been to the french part of my country before :p

I feel raped. I ordered a Mars Volta album, they sent me Zimmer 483 by Tokio Hotel.
ritual burning, anyone?

tomorrow i'm going to antwerp ^_^

Outskirts of Liege (sorry I dont have the accent on this German keyboard) appeared to be abit rough, but the center where we stopped had some interesting bits and bobs to it, problem being with the whole trip was that it was done at night, so you dont get a very good impression on the place. I went through Gent in 2002 the first time I border raided and visited your country and loved it. This trip is definately the start to using public transport rather than flying. Flying is fucking cheating. The only way I see flying as an advantage over anything is if I need to be at the destination asap, otherwise fuck it.

As far as the French/Dutch divide in Belgium is concerned and dont kill me for saying as I was on the road, in darkness etc wasnt easy to identify. I like Belgium, it was only Brussels I didnt like, and I havent been to a capital I liked. I travel back by coach on Saturday evening, so ill see if I can get a few more snaps of Liege as I didnt get any.

Tokio Hotel.
Oh dude! :ill:
Isn't there any way you can contact them and ask them to replace the album?

Also, I feel awesome. I went to some folk highschool competition today (while skipping classes, of course <3), and after rehearsing like half an hour with a friend that I hadn't seen/rehearsed with since last July, we managed to get the first prize, which consisted in a (shitty) acoustic guitar, which I kept, cause my friend has four of them already. I'm gonna give it as a present to my cousin.
We played "Shamandalie" by Sonata Arctica and "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. Folk music.
