The School/Uni Thread

I am the golden god of procrastination. I had this one course, and there was 15 (short, like 3-4 page) papers to write. On the first day, he goes "I will accept all of the work late, but I would prefer if you hand it in on time..." Right when "late" came out of his mouth is when I made my decision.

"Welp, looks like I'm going to have a very busy day in early December". So, the very last day of that class was on Tuesday morning at 9:30. I did the papers on Monday.

Honestly, I would have failed your ass. I wouldn't even tell you either. I'd give a big smile and say, "Oh thanks for the papers, I'll grade them and have them posted online asap." Then once you check your grade at the end of the semester you would see a big fucking F where your grade is. I'd get the last laugh for sure.

probably the best story I ever wrote was in second grade. It was called, 'The Giant Whopper Man', and it was about a man who had a Whopper (or any burger really) for a body. Somehow in the end he battled Zeus and won.

epic.

Mayor McCheese fantasies begin...

NOW!!

I definitely wish I would have had creative writing courses in high school. The only two stories I ever wrote were for the same class. One was a horrible fantasy tale that just ripped off a bunch of different things, the other had an interesting concept that failed in execution. I don't remember the entire premise, but if I recall correctly, it was essentially about a mother keeping her child locked away in total isolation for much of his youth so that he had no idea where he was, and one day she took him out and led him blindfolded around a couple of blocks all day over and over again and just left him about two blocks away from the house, so that essentially he would die even though he was so close to home. There are immense plot holes in this description, but that's because my memory is shit. I assure you the concept is more interesting. :erk:

I'm actually taking my first writing class next semester, which should be interesting. I've actually come up with a few ideas for stories since I signed up for the course in preparation.

haha. I always do that for my creative writing courses. Especially the nonfiction course since I like to think that my life is boring...those take a little more time

I couldn't get my loan in time due to damn Fasfa (and me never doing one) being required for a damn stafford federal loan :(

I opted for a deferred payment plan, but I still owe the school a little over $870 today and I'm unsure if it will block me from signing up for classes (or what's left over) by the 18th; I'm not even sure what to take...I'm still waiting for a counselor to reply back to me :erk:

I hate not being away at school right now. I'm stuck at home until right around new year's. I mainly am upset at how I can't just drink whenever I feel like it, and there's no decent bar within walking distance. There's also so much less to do. I can't tolerate being home for more than a weekend or so during the year. I had better get an okay job so I can get my own place starting this summer.

You must not have parents that drink much. I drank all the time at home and my parents didn't give a shit

Then again, my parents have over 300 bottles of wine in the basement of our house, so yeah
