6-alarm fire destroyed a block of Queen Street West around Bathurst today. Fuck.
This block was home to one of the used record stores I check out whenever I'm downtown.
Oh my god, that's awful... But those pictures are so beautiful.
And thank you everyone for trying to tell Krigloch he's an asshole, though I'm pretty sure he would never feel bad, for anything.

The love of my life.
It's not the best painting I've done by far, I painted it in essentially one sitting, and the title "Who is that dark angel" is really cheesy but it has a lot of meaning for me. And so I like it... I fell in love with this kid the moment I saw him when I was 15. I stopped in my tracks, grabbed my best friend's arm and uttered "Who is that dark angel??" in my wonderfully poetic 15 year old girl fashion and...well, i've been in love with him since that moment. Make fun of me all you want.
Oh, so corny, but oh.. that's love.

Your talent is trully amazing.
Did you paint him from memory? - the whole painting is just amazing.
Seriuosly, the brush strokes, the face, the emotion, the background: simply and trully wonderfully done.

East of Bathurst, south side. The only store I know that was on the block was Cosmos Records. I used to check out their used vinyl all the time!
Sounds like a pretty bad one. Took em all day to get it out. Queen was closed from Bathurst to Spadina all day. Good thing the Reverb/Kathedral are still intact as far as I know.
