The Whining and Bitching Thread

just got banned from NWN after being on there for six years. don't know what caused it, I guess someone just got sick of my shit

Im trying to get banned from a Magic The Gathering board, using subtle, non shocksite, non flaming ways. Ideas?

so who here is gonna get health insurance by march 31?

or will you just pay the penalty? $95 for the 1st year of no insurance is nothing compared to what they'd suck out of you every month. but it's gonna go up every year to $300+ in 2015 and after that, who knows. fuck this shit

that's all you lefties think about. "NO ONE IS REALLY THAT FAR-RIGHT, AKA RETARDED, STUPID INBRED NATIONALISTS"

I'm gonna bet he isn't and I agree honestly. nothing personal, I've just generally existed in the libertarian right area of the political map most of my life. everyone has opinions, and just because someone doesn't have the same one as you doesn't mean they're "trolling", they're all like assholes and stink the same way.

Well his statement was fucking retarded and so are you if you agree. You can be an extreme conservative without being a moron.

However, as you both have proved, that is quite uncommon.

Even worse - I'm withdrawing from weed.

Oh no, hope that goes as well as it can. It'll do your brain good. IMO it's total horseshit that MJ is "good" for most people's brains.

I wouldn't say its good, but if I recall it does promote neuron generation in the brain. But then again, the brain becomes dependent after awhile, and when the brain becomes dependent on outside chemicals its bad news.

Live in tiny 1 bedroom apartment.
Electric bill the past few months (with cold weather) = ~$30
Electric bill last two months (cause they fucked up the month before) = $160

Probably one of the few times you'll hear me bitch about the cold weather. JESUS FUCK! My wallet is happy that the weather is finally rising above the single digits.

Totally understand I picked up a space heater and left it on awhile and my pockets had to pay. Fuck this winter.

RIP to my nails I had to messily cut off in order to learn guitar. Man do my fingers hurt that shit is hard!

I thought about posting this in the males and females thread but I figured this thread would be more fitting.

My entire dating history consists of trying to accept that the woman in question has different interests than me. Lately, I've been realizing that this never works out. That being said, I started talking to a crust punk looking chick that lives near me a few days ago. I'm almost as into punk as I'm into metal so I name dropped some of my favorite bands. She rose to the defense at first but I explained to her that I wasn't trying to be a snob about it. The conversation proceeded with her constantly changing the subject to her drug abuse. I'm willing to look past things like that if I like the person otherwise but, in this case, it dawned on me that this girl doesn't have any other interests and is probably more concerned with using the nihilistic punk image than actually being into the music itself.

Aside from her, I've been running into a lot of people into metal who take offense to my name dropping bands that they're not familiar with. This is a completely alien attitude to me because every band I listen to today was discovered based on recommendations. Are people offended by the idea that I know something about music that they don't? It's gotten to the point where music taste has become my least favorite topic of conversation.

It depends on who you talk to. Some communities treat music taste as some kind of competition of who likes the "best" music, which is in a large part determined by the opinions of the majority and/or the respected individuals in that community. Then there are people that listen to music simply because they like music. Those people are fun to talk to. They just talk about different kinds of music they like and what they like about it.
