The Whining and Bitching Thread

Concern appreciated guys but other than being a few pounds overweight I'm fairly healthy, so I should be alright. Never have I so much as smoked a cigarette either, so my lungs should be fairly clean. Just have to weather the storm.

Also make sure you take all your meds. If you miss even one there's an increased chance it'll come back and be resistant to antibiotics. It happened to me and I ended up with super-pneumonia for like 5 months.

Windows 10 received an update last night and now everything is fucked up. First of all, the start button no longer responds to left-clicking, nor to the start button. Right-clicking on it will bring up a menu, but it doesn't look nice like what the earlier start menu. Secondly, it doesn't display my open apps on the bottom taskbar; instead, they are consolidated into a single task view icon which opens up thumbnails of my open windows when I click on it. That's more work than just clicking on the icon on the taskbar to view the corresponding window. Also, the date and time is not visible on the right hand corner anymore. I can hover my cursor over that area and a text box will appear showing that info, but again, that's more work. I trying to figure out if there's a way I can reverse these unwanted changes.

Just pay 5 bucks for the stardock OS mod, makes your ten operate like 7. On the surface at least. Amongst other custom views.

Well my attempted return to work was thwarted after ~ 4 hours. Had a bit of a coughing fit while driving and, in the best way I can explain it, felt like I had been thrown under water. Snapped out of it after a few seconds and jerked the vehicle back onto the road but called the shop and told them I had to leave immediately and had my mom bring my wife to drive me home. Went back to the doctor, given more medicine and told to "stay home hardhead" by the little Indian guy.

Lesson learned, hint taken... Will try again next Monday I think.

I jumped from 7, which I thought was very good also, to 10. I heard a lot of bad things about 8 so I didn't bother with it.

No start button and the Metro screen sucked. You could just set desktop mode as the default and never look at Metro, and pin file explorer to the taskbar as a pseudo start button. Some people just like to complain.

Yeah, pneumonia is no joke. You can try and ride it out without any medication if you really take care of yourself. But as matt mentioned, if you get started on antibiotics, make sure you finish them up. I personally have never took an antibiotic in my life and rarely get sick. Had a horrible case of pneumonia in December though and didn't take anything whatsoever. It was a pretty shitty few weeks, but all is well now ... i think, lol.
